Very, very nice and historically significant KC group with lots of accompanying material to read and to learn about this individual.

As a collector who is also reuniting a swords holder since 10 years now, I know the effort behind such a task.

Never give up! It is highly rewarding, but a task involving patience and lots of it.


I would not feel to unhappy about the award though, since it will ALWAYS be improssible to tell whether they are the original pieces or added ones.

A collector or auction house source are totally irrelevant. Everything
can be mixed up at one point in the owner's chain, so I personally can recommend to rather focus on the unquestionable documents than on questionalable awards.

In order not to cheat oneself, I think one should at least always be aware of the fact that the provenance of the awards is not 100%.

Me myself I get along better with that.

Thank you very much for sharing. I saw the soldbuch when it was on Huske's site, but it was out of my price range. To have all of the photos and other documents is really fantastic. That is for sure one of the nicest soldbuchs I have ever seen.
