First of all – a happy new year to everyone!
I would like to post a few pages of a Soldbuch which I received recently. The poor thing was
in the shop of Weitze and nobody wanted it. Maybe because it does not look very exciting at
the first glance. But I believe this might be a SB which belonged to a guy who was in the
Stalingrad pocket and got flown out of there.
He belonged to I.R. 534. I will post the page with the wounds (the actual page was used for
something else in that SB so the Lazarett stamps are all on page 14 & 15) and a page with the
award entries. Now I have two questions:
1. does anyone know where Kriegslazarett 927 was during the winter 1942 / 43?
2. the entry for his EK2 shows the remark “gem. O.K.H. verliehen” – why?
Remarks are very welcome – and it would be great if someone could help me with those two questions ... thanks a lot in advance!
