    Is this really a Dog Tag holder!

    This belongs to an antique dealer. He claims the vet he got it from said it was a German Dog Tag Holder. Looks absolutely unused, so it's hard to imagine that the story got started becuase it was found with a dog tag in it. Is this a typical dog tag holder, or just an odd story?

      Leather ID tag holders worn around the neck were not uncommon during the war.
      This one is modern manufacture.
