If it was meant to deceive then the faker needs a new job

As Hundestaffel mentioned, do your homework!!! I have no sympathy for people who do not do something for themselves!

    Ian,

Yes you mentioned, that these booklets originally were being sold for re-enactors copies, but with this example some one was going a step further with placing an old photo in it......or did he went through old photos to find his own period look-alike.

Maybe it started its life as a re-enactors copy, but went on to be a for sale very bad fake.

And no-one sees that this is a very rare dyslexic printer version.

    yours friendly

321 is LOADED with 'Stinkers' of all types, shapes and sizes, be it paper, cloth, equipment, etc. There's been some real 'classics' on that site in the past (e.g. Dachau KL Wehrpasses - which I comically refer to as those "Doctored" KL Wehrpasses) with unquestionably more turds to be posted in the near future. That said, I am (probably like a lot of you reading this) a member of 321, and I have purchased some fantastic Hunde items off that site, while along the way having made some very trustworthy and knowledgeable paper contacts.

Again, to those interested in seriously collecting paper, there are some really knowledgeable and experienced fellows on this WAF site that would be happy to assist you if you want to 'run' something by them for their opinion before you purchase. I refrain from calling anyone an 'Expert' (that label is a minefield in itself) but will say that their years of experience in the field is well worth taking the time to listen to.

As with anything else, you have to step into the Dog Pound cautiously, and feel your way around gingerly to get to know which Dogs are on your side and which ones are not. Some bite. HARD.

OK gents, a final note on this and then I'll muzzle it.....

The addition of the (original) para-military Youth photo has taken this piece out of the "Fantasy world" of the re-enactor into the league of full-blown, purposeful deception. Believe me, this turd was never in the breast pocket of a drunken re-enactor's Janke tunic while he rolled around in a pile of cigarette-butts, Sgt. Rock comics and empty beer bottles fantasizing he was Michael Wittman.

It was made for one reason, and one reason only.....

*** I just looked again - with one hour to go, the Minimum has been met, and it's (now) priced at 210.99 Euros. UNBELIEVABLE.

Actually I find it more interesting who is bidding on the item.....

Wizardelf - A wizard and an elf!?!?!?
          Elrond - A Half-elven fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium
          Schattenmann - Shadow man!

          Weird!!!!

Also looking at some of the items the bidders have bought recently....they clearly like S H I T E !!!

Final selling price - 215.99 Euros.

Man, just think about how many rolls of toilet paper 215.99 Euros could have bought him.....and he only got about 24 pages of toilet paper with this purchase......

I'd like some more information on those Nigerian investments, now that I've been outbid on that Soldbuch.....
I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.....
