SS - ID Disc

Hello colleagues,

What are your opinions of the following identity disc?

Also, can someone help me "un-code" the disc? This is not my area of collecting.

It’s supposed to be SS-Gebirgsjäger-Ausbildungs- u.Ersatz-Bataillon 6. This is a legitimate unit and it was formed on 10 May 1943 in Hallein near Salzburg by renaming the former SS-Geb.Jäg.Ers.Btl. Nord (formed 6 September 1940). In January 1945, a number of its personnel were send to SS-Freiwilligen-Rgt. 32 which was actually SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Rgt. 87 of the 32. SS-Freiw.Gren.Div. “30. Januar” that fought in the Frankfurt/O. area from February to April 1945.

I'm not an EKM (doggie tag) "expert" so I'll let the others pass judgement on its authenticity.

I'm not up on the new fakes,,but this is an old fake... Same fonts [and mistakes] as the infamous Polish made SS para tags of 10 years ago..
