The photo doesn't belong. He was a Lt. when the book was issued and there are no Sagan stamps over it.

And does he not look a bit old on the picture? Yes, in war soldiers often look older than they are but this guy does not look like 21, does he?
Something else I noted though. This soldier was apparently a count – and a farmer by profession. Maybe interesting to do some research there.

training at 2cm and 3,7cm KWK = Panzer 2 / 3, sorry, he was not a Panther member "only" Panzer 3.

KWK 42 / 7,5cm = that´s a Panther
