    If a U boatman gets sunk how is it possible to have his Soldbuch for sale ? Rob

    Soldbuch left at home, a replacement maybe was made, convalescing at home due to injuries hence not being on board for example

      U-Boat crewman did not carry their soldbuchs on them while on active sea duty.
      They were left back at the port they left from.

      Luftwaffe aircrew also did pretty much the same.
