Here's an example I have in a Soldbuch.

The Soldbuch was issued 25.10.1939 whilst he was serving with 3 Kompanie, SS Totenkopf Panzer Abwehr Abteilung.

According to a questionnaire I have regarding his service, he served with SS Heimwehr Danzig from 1.6.1939 until 30.9.1939.
He later went on to serve with 5 SS Pz.Div. "Wiking" and 12 SS Pz.Div. "Hitlerjugend". He was killed in action 10.6.1944 fighting in Caen.
