He told me ,they had such chaotic conditions and were often offset (change the units) , which never came to EK ceremony, the same by storm-days when all he had counted, then it would have been over 100

                Outstanding!

Interview that guy and do a book! Or at least sell copies of the interview (audio or video). He knows a part of history that is priceless!

                  Very nice group Chris,

I had not noticed this before. What really makes this for me, apart from him serving with some nice historical units, is the fact he gave you his Militär Lebenslauf!
Without that you sometimes have to gues what he was doing and where he was!

As you say, pretty hectic towards the end of the war but again great to see that his Einsatztage have been entered in the Soldbuch!

No EK but from his awards you can clearly see he took an "active" roll within his unit.

                  A pleasure to see.

                  /Ian

                    Chris,

Did Herr Lürgen get any other awards that are not mentioned in the Soldbuch? Clearly the Rumänische Erinnerungs Medaille is not entered as the awarding letter is part of the group!

                    /Ian
