    SB Jagdabschnittsführer Bulgarien

    Hi,

I have this Soldbuch for a few years and thought it may be interesting to others - so here it is
It belonged to a certain Alfred Müller.
I believe this guy was for a while commander of Jagdgeschwader 4 and then even commander of the entire Jagdabschnitt Bulgarien.

What makes it a bit special is that he apparently shot down three planes in WW2 (all French) when he already had two or three kills in WW1 (with Jasta 39?). If that information is correct, he was well over 40 years old when he got his three kills in 1940.
In August 1940 he had an emergency landing himself and that may have ended his active career as a pilot.

No awards are entered but I hope you like it anyway.
I am of course always grateful for any further information on this guy

Yes, old "Kugekblitz" was a bit old for the cockpit, to say the least! As soon as he was released from the hospital, all of his remaining appointments were in training units or in staff positions.

Do you possibly have his dates of promotion to Hptm., Major and Oberstleutnant?
