    Some help please.

What does the abbreviation after D.R. mean in this WP? Is it an indication of being a volksdeutsche? The soldier on question was from Leifersdorf, registered in the Reichenberg WB.
    Cheers

in former times it was Czechoslovakia but after Czechoslovakia was part of the Deutsches Reich the citizens had to change their citizenship in D.R. - Deutsches Reich

            Thanks Gerdan and pauke.
Is Reichenberg, probably now under a different name, now part of the Czech Republic?

Interesting about him being a former Czech citizen

              Jonathan,

you are right. Reichenberg, today Liberec, is now a town (104.000 inh.) in the Czech Republic

                Danke mein kamaraden.

The team Slovan Liberec come from there. I remember them in the Champions League Qualifiers a few years ago.
