Snipers Soldbuch

I would like to have some input and comments about this Soldbuch from the really knowledgable Soldbuch collectors.

Does everything look correct and relevant? Is there any reason to doubt the authenticity off the Soldbuch? I also have more items from this soldier......but let´s start with the Soldbuch.

I belive it to be 100% correct myself, but need to get it confirmed.

I have collected Soldbuch and Wehrpass from the last ten years and in my opinion there are nothing wrong with this piece, all the notations are made in the proper way and as an early model it has no pages for the weapons and special equipment as found in latte examples so the weapons and special sniper equipment is notated in an extra page glued over the one reserved for the special cloth equipment where are notated the camouflage garments given to this soldier. As we can read in the wound page I suggest that this soldier suffered heavy for countersniper artillery fire. Really is the first truly sniper piece I see, other I have see were Wehrpass with notation about sniper curses and then transfered to field units where they, i suppose, served as snipers. This is a really killer piece, rarest in extrem as is "common" to find DKiG or KC related paperwork, but no sniper. This is worhty a further and deepest research, but in a first view nothing is wrong in my point of view, notation are put in the correct way and place and no expurious notes are found.

I am hardly an expert, but do collect GD Soldbuchs as you know. From my research on this one, I'd agree with you and Angel - it's great.
Hard to replicate the wear and tear to that extent - looks like something the soldier carried from 39- 45as the dates would indicate. Obviously detailed research of the units and locations would add to the 'provenance' ...with a little time. Now, if he was a sniper in the Grossdeutschland, I may help you do such research!

Just reiterating what Scott and Angel have said and this item looks absolutely 100 %. I have specialised in Soldbuch and Wehrpaß for the past 15 years and this is the first Soldbuch that I have seen with such entries...a true rarity! I do have a Wehrpaß myself but this is not a fraction as nice!!!
Incidentally for added piece of mind and confirmation the entry for the Scharfschützen Abzeichen is authenticated/confrimed by Oberleutnant Heinrich Bergerfurth who won the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold 22.3.1945 as Kompanie Chef 6/Grenadier Regiment 184.
Shame about the pieces missing but for such a rare item who cares!

Sniper soldbuch

Very nice piece, and thanks for sharing it with us , i find it also interesting to see that on his " Infantry Assault " badge document the entry => Rgts.Gruppe is entered .( for the people who are wondering wath strange regiment that is , it simply means that the Regiment had suffered so many losses that they did cal it a regimentsgruppe => in many cases these regiments where later disbanded and formed the core for a newly regiment. or the troops where scattered over other egiments . )
