    Help with Wehrpass

Hello all, I acquired this interesting Wehrpass and would like some help in identifying/translation of the following pages. As far as I can see the person joined the Luftwaffe in 1936 and by 1944 he was transfered into SS AR 5 Wiking. I would like to know what the various units are in between these dates? Quite a lot of information I know but any would be most appreciated. There are three pictures for this posting. Thanks in advance, Wooly

Pic 1:Most of his units are Fliegerhorstkompanie and appointments to training schools. He also seems to have served in the maintenance company of NJG 5, a night-fighter unit.

Pic 2: Details of training he received. First page are the weapons he has trained with and the second page details NCO courses hes been on.

Pic 3: His promotions are Gefreiter, Obergefreiter, Unteroffizier and Feldwebel.

any other ss refrences in the WP you can show us?

I would be very suspicious of the SS entries.

Chris, Here are a couple more documents which back up the SS story. I received all these from the family and have no doubt about them. The man involved was her step father.

Good to have the evidence to back it up. I too had my suspicions at first and as we know it was common for ex Luftwaffe and KM personnel to be conscripted into Waffen SS divisions. Meyer, in his books on the 12th SS, states that a lot of the replacements the HJ received after the Normandy campagin were from the Luftwaffe and that the greatest challenge was not refitting the division but rather training the new intake in the infantry tactics.

Very cool documents, so many of these ordinary Wehrpass books have been altered with fake SS stamps and it is refreshing to see one that is original!
