He's just sold a 21. Pz. Div. Normandy KIA for 50 Euros. No-one can argue that isn't cheap...granted I'm sure if he'd known the prices Normandy KIA items go for (and the rarity and desirability of 21. Pz. Div. items) it would have been far more.

I am very sure, that Detlev Niemann know the prices ! He is one of the 3 or 4 biggest WW II Dealers in germany. (Winkler, Weitze, Niemann, Phillip, and so on...)

Remember that this guy is making a living & that you have to expect a profit margin. I couldnt survive selling my showroom goods at cost! Just as long as that profit margin doesnt slip over into extortion!

My question has been truly answered! Thanks to all

... but of course, I must say, that Detlev have the lowest prices of the big Hamburgers...

Weitze's prices don't seem to have much rhyme nor reason. Run-of-the-mill WPs he puts up for hundreds of Euros.

Detlevs alright on prices usually the E-stand is a lot cheaper as you would expect but i think his prices are based on what he pays for an item as much as what its worth.

So what? What do any of them about documentation collecting? Given some of the crap all of them have sold in the past not too much. On the other hand they can't be up to speed on every little sub-market.

That WP could easily sell for £175 on E-Stand.

I think this is living proof that Detlev is not over the top. I think he has a mark-up percentage that he has to achieve to stay in business as do all businesses but he does not always extract the last drop of blood from the stone.

Often I have noticed, it would appear that if he has got something at a reasonable price depending on how he had to buy it then he will pass it on to collectors at a good price.

You may well find things cheaper by searching in local markets it is like that all round the world but how much time and petrol does that take and how many days do you find nothing of much interest verses the days when you find a true sleeper ???

In my opinion Detlev is usually very reasonable with his prices. The bigger challenge/concern for me is the race with the devil to get the item and then paying for it all when the bill comes in and then explaining to your wife that it really was an opportunity not to be missed in a hurry.

Will collect to I die, Chris

Just saw this thread, at least from what I saw on Friday's update as well as a few others, Detlev's Wehrpass/Soldbuch prices are below many that are sold here on a regular basis.

I know of one seller/member here that comes to mind, he sells WP's here on a weekly basis at rates that make Detlev's look cheap!
