IMO Picture and Soldbuch don't match and are not from the same man.
The man on the picture is a Rottenführer that has been awarded the eastern front medal, the Soldbuch is a late war (1944??) issue from a Pz.Grenadier. from the Feld ersatz batl. 2 from Das Reich.

The Weimar-Buchenwald entry refers to the SS Kraftfahrzeug Ausbildungs und Ersatz Regiment that was stationed there in 1944.

It was the Motor Vehicle Training and Replacement Regiment .

                Hello,

The ss lorry driving school was located on the ss complex "Buchenwald".
Buchenwald was more then a concentration camp alone, the barracks area was not only used by the KL-guard battalion but several other ss (replacement) units were quarterd there.
The soldier from this soldbuch was following a lorry driving course there, I might have paid kind of a tourist visit to the camp, the private ss zoo was situated right next to the KL's crematorium, only the KL's fence seperated the zoo from the KL; but he wasn't preforming guard duty in the KL (concentration camp).

The photo doesn't belong to the soldbuch.
A "used car dealers" trick to sell a soldbuch from which the picture has been removed, these examples are always undesirable.

                Cheers,
                Peter

200 Euro? For a late-war, SS Soldbuch with the photo torn out, no awards, a miss-matched wedding photo that doesn't belong, all to a guy who served in only training and replacement units and most likely didn't see any combat?

                        Well, to each his own
