Not sure of name spelling (please correct me). This Wehrpass comes with Call-up post card, Certification of no Jewish Ancestry and no criminal record. This man started off in the feldeisnebahn Pioneer and then changed to feldeisenbahn commando's. Can someone tell me what the second award is? Also would appreciate assistance in translating also. As always appreciate everyone's assistance. Jim

Hi Jim,
Correct spelling is Illing.
2 awards I see are Reichsportabzeichen (Reich Sports Badge) Bronze & KVK 2d class with swords.
Looks like he spent his whole time working with Railroad units, as you mentioned, except for Seilbahn, which (I believe) is some sort of cable-car arrangement (not necessarily like SF, but movement occurs by cable).
Trained on the K98 rifle.
He was in the Djnepr area late '43 to early '44, then Middle Italy from early to mid '44.
