    Wehrpass Documents von der Heyde

This is an interesting set of documents for Karl von der Heyde. Included is a document that lists those who died (his name is on page 7). What is interesting about the Wehrpass is page 10, the water mark is not the eagle but the swastika. Any comments are appreciate as always. Jim

          In July 1940:

          FpN L 05794: 10. (le.)Batterie Flak-Regiment 411
          FpN L 39995: 9.(le.) Batterie Flak-Regiment 411

In July 1940 II./Flak-Rgt. 411 was deploying forward through the Vosges Mtns. into Central France along the demarcation line between German-occupied France and Vichy France.

His exact name was Karolus Berthold Gustav (?) von der Heyde.

His profession was employee in a saving bank. His father was director of a

            bank.

He was KIA 20 June 1940 near Belfort (France) and now his grave is in the

cemetery of Andilly/France (block 1, row 5, grave 364). It seems that his first

burial place was an other cemetery but for me it is a bit difficult to read the

page with this entrance in WP.

Thank you for your replies. Why does this pass have Reichsarbeitsbienst water marked pages in it, where other passes don't??? Jim
