If you're talking about the shorter of the two men, then I think yes, there is a possibility that it is the same guy.

outstanding grouping with superb pics from this famous tank unit. IMO this guy was in fact not a crew member/driver from any tank in combat. The entry's in his Wehrpaß (Pab bronze and the driver's badge bronze) make sense in this way. Otherwise he should have been awarded the silver Pab. IMO his duty was to take care and fixed the damaged tanks after combat and therefore he has to be able to drive them too. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's just a thought

Best thing you could about the picture IMO is takin it off gently from the soldbuch and put a very little bit of glue in the centre of the back and stick the picture back in the album where it was!
