Hello Gents,

Quick novice WP question - Is the placement of the EK2 entry above the Krimschild a cause for concern considering that the EK2 carries a 10/31/42 date while the Krimschild is dated 10/1/42? Administrative SNAFU? Red Flag?

I'm with Peter on this, seen it on a few WP's where the dates are not in order.

Yep, Peter and Jonathan are right, nothing wrong with your award entries, everything looks original too me.
I have seen that more often in Wehrpäße and Soldbücher where award dates are out of order.

yup-fine I think. i have several WP where the award dates are out of order and they are 1000% original (why would anyone ever fake a 55 year old postman who was unfit for service?). The Krim shields were awarded im Feld by direct personal accounts-odds are it took time to catch up on the paperwork as everyone got them almost at once in the company. Interestingly, I'd love to see a WP/SB databse on units and when they got mass awards-like the Krim Shield, the Rumanian Crusade Against Communism medal, Ostmedal etc..
