    Rare V2 Rocket Electrician' Soldbuch

    Hi All,

I would like to know why noboby has bid on this document.
I find it quite interesting .

Note the EKII entry on the 26th September 1944.
Is this award for all the Rockets which have been fired by the Batterie 444 from 06 to the 26th September 1944 or for first combat when the unit on the 6th was attacked by Partisans ?

You will find a wonderful Site here

                  Hi Tommy,

Well, I took the Risk !

Have a look on this picture of page 24. You will find the stamp with the FpNr. 03430 for the Batterie 444

This is one of the most exciting things I have seen for ages! A piece of history from the dawn of the Rocket Age...and the dawn of missile warfare. Quite extraordinary in the truest sense of the word. And an EKII winner as well! I suspect that this was awarded for action against resistance fighters. And his POW papers too. Bravo Jean-Yves! I look forward to seeing the group in the flesh.

That is a very interesting book Jean-Yves !

I am lucky to already have one from the same unit, however with that said no one has picked up on this Soldbuch!!!

                      http://www.militariaweb.com/d/lot.cfm?lotID=1593899

                      Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung 271
Formed 1.11.1943 through WK II in Schneidemühl and Mühlhausen as replacements for Stab Kommando Stelle S, later B z.b.V. (V2 test and deployment). 23.11.1944 incorporated into Lehr und Versuchs Abteilung (Demonstration and Experiment) with 1 and 2 Lehr und Versuchs, 3 technische, 4 Treibsoff (Fuel) and 5 Zielbeobachtungs (Target observation) Batterien.

Many men through this unit ended up with operationsal units.....mine however served with "Einsatz Regiment z.b.V. 1" and "zur Verfügung Regiment 3" and I can not find anything about them!!!
