    Never seen before.

I noted that both were LW flight personal, was the second awarded also the Ehrenpokal?

Could be part of the nazification desirees of Goring for his Luftwaffe?

Looking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.

          first one says:

"Ehrenpokal für bes. Leistungen im Luftkrieg
          Bild des Reichsmarschalls. goldene Frontflugspange."

          second:

"Bild des Führers für besondere Leistung
          im Luftkrieg, verl. am 27.5.41"

              interesting award entry's

              Hi,

Look very good guys as these are very very rare award entry's from a much unknown award.

Ps : Tyler => it was a Picture from Göring that was inside and not from Hitler ( just to be clear )and this award was a official luftwaffe one

              Cordial greetings,

It WAS Hitlers pic- see second entry: "Bild des Führers"- Tyler noticed absolutely correct.

"Bild des Reichsmarschalls" was a recognised award much the same as the Ehrenpokal in that it was an award that was rendered for acts of bravery between the EK I and Ritterkreuz.

The Ehrenpokal was instituted from orders dated 27.2.1940, was this the same date for the Bild?
With the introduction of the "Ehrenliste" in 1.9.1941 I believe these photos ceased, however I have never seen much information on them!
Those awarded EP or Bild were honoured in the Liste....

"Bild der Führers" I know nothing about, however seeing as these are both Luftwaffe members I would presume it is in fact a photo of Göring rather than Hitler!?!?!

                    /Ian

I have heard of army officers being awarded pictures of AH. I hate to be obscure, but I remember reading in a book, I believe it was The Bunker (not sure), but the picture was awarded in a silver frame. Anyway, I never thought it was an official award though.

                        Bild des Führers

                        Hello Ian,

These two registrations are in my opinion exceptional. I had still never seen an identical registration in a military document. Generally, this kind of "present" (I prefer to use the term of present or of attention on the place of decoration) was normally devolved to persons close to the regime. As such, it would be interesting to know the rank and the function occupied by the holders about these two documents.

In October, 2002, the house Hermann Historica released an image of the Führer. This portrait, dedicated by Hitler, was sold for the price for 19500.- € ! You will find an image of this detail below. I am not certain, but I think that the registration representing on the document presented by Ian corresponds probably to the enclosed portrait. As indicated by Erich, the frame is silver.

                        Cordial greetings.

                        Polux
