    Arbeitsbusch to SS Officer

This is my first Arbeitsbusch,a nice grouping I think. What I find amazing,I am new to these books by the way,is that the Officer, having survived the war, goes to USA and finds employment and carries on filling in the book.Nice photo and Theater Der SS ticket. Can anyone comment on this please, what was his unit,do we know,my German is very limited and I find the script hard to read, what is the script style writing called.
    Regards,Ivan.

The Arbeitsbuch should be owned by a female person. As far as I can read the

different professions she was for example "Telefonistin" or "Portiersgehilfin"

                or nurse maid.

So the owner of the Arbeitsbuch could not have been an officer.

Hi Ivan, the photo does not show an SS Officer, but a senior NCO. Maybe a husband or boyfriend?

                  Cheers, Ade.

In the Ukrainia city of Lemberg in 1943 there was a theater only for SS and Police.

The ticket dated 25 Dec 1943 was for box no 7 and valid for the performance

                    on that Christmas day.

                        novice,obviously

Well, thats one in the eye for me!!As you will have noticed I am a novice documents guy,I am learning quicly. Thanks for the help and the obviously witty remark.
These were together when I bought them,I took them because of the collectability of the SS theater ticket, the SS entries and of course the photo of HER BOYFRIEND
As a grouping, what sort of value would be put on this, any ideas.
                        Regards,Ivan.

Hi Phil, the guy is not wearing any cuff titles. What you can see is two bands of NCO's tress (same material as worn on the collar and shoulder straps by all NCO's) This shows his appointment as Sgt Major. This insignia was also worn by the Heer. Often this was nick named as the "piston rings".

                              For more info see here:

                              Cheers, Ade.
