    Hello,

The first one is gone, the second is verwundenten abz in schwarz & the bottom one is the infanterie sturm abz.
The first citation was written by aufklarer ersatz abteilung 17.
Can you see his awards on the picture in the soldbuch?

    Cheers,
    Peter

I can tell you the first Stempel is Aufklärungs Ersatz Abteilung 17 (in 1943), info (auf Deutsch)
      http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...leAbt513-R.htm

The second award appears to be ??(Verw.)?? Abzeichen im ??? It was awarded by the Staff and Chief physician. The Stempel is very hard to read from the scan.

The third comes from 31 Division. which your guy may have (presumably) been transferred to Aufklärungs-Abteilung 31 part of Inf.Div. 31. you'd have to show the soldbuch page to be sure. incidentally 1.8.44 was the beginning of the Polish Uprising in Warsaw. Cannot read if this award was in response to this action or not but it seems they (31 ID) were in Poland at the time.

      Thats all I have,
      regards,
      -Tony

The first one i think is "Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse" ... you see the "-" above the "u", the "z" of Kreuz and the "II." and the "ghost-word" Klasse. Nice docs.

              hello,

Indeed it looks like "eisern kreuz II klasse".
Can you see an EK2 ribbon on the picture in the soldbuch?
Or is he wearing perhaps a KVK2 ribbon?

On May 10 1940 he got kicked against the head by a horse, which took 5 weeks to recover from.
In December 1942 he got some sort of infection and/or illness on his right eye.
In October 1943 he got a granate fragment in the right arm, for this wound he got the wounded badge in black in November.

              Cheers,
              Peter

                  The 4th entry means:

4 Dec 1942 Tränensackentzündung r(echts) Auge = Lachrymal infection right

                  eye
