Thanks, Ian. Do you by any chance happen to know where I might be able to get more info on Feldlazarett (mot.) 674?
I know they were attached to Hoth's 4.Pz.Armee and were at Stalingrad...

No sorry....normally the Feldlazarett followed the unit it belonged to

        i.e. Feldlazarett 12 = 12 Infanterie Division etc.

This one must have been Heerestruppen....unless it was attached to Feldkommandantur 674?

        Formed 27.1.1940 in Wehrkreis IV.

Under: 16.7.1940 Befehlshaber der Truppen des Heeres, later Wehrmachtbefehlshaber Niederlande in s’' Hertogenbosch, 10.9.1940 in Breda, also 1945 Netherlands.

Can you give me any clue as to what unit the guy was in prior to being sent to hospital?

I can confirm it was Army troops (Heerestruppen) and also known as Armee-Feldlazarett 674.

But that is all I can find!

            Ian-

This guy served with Feldlazarett 674 from April 1941 through the end of the war, at Stalingrad from 17 August - 18 November 1942 (awarded the KVK.II m.s. on 26 August 1942.) I'm working on translating the handwritten entries on the Wehrdienst pages now...

As always thanks for your help!
            Rob
