    Phrase Translation - Help

    Hi,

Does anyone know what these phrases mean:

Den gleichlaut mit der Kr St Roffe bestatigt Marienbad den 28.5.1942

    Another one reads:
    Fur die Richtigkeit:
    Marienbad den 5.4.1943

After his award entries for the EK.11 and Eastern Front Medal it mentions the phrases above. What is interesting is the fact that his medals were awarded after his death?!?!? Can this be correct?

He died in 42: Gefallen am 23.1.1942
His medals were awarded on: 28.5.42 and 29.7.42

I would appreciate it if anyone could help me out here!

    Hello David,

I think there is written Kr St Rolle - that means the personal roster of the soldier.

The phrase says that the entrie is identical with the entry in the personal roster. Second phraste is a confirmation of that.

I think that do not mean that the badges were awarded after his dead. The entries were made some weeks or month after the badges were awarded and this is only a confirmation for the entry. If you can make a scan of the page, maybe I can give you more informations.

Marienbad is the Place the entry was made.

    Best wishes

    Jörg
