Wehrpass Entries Help needed

Hello All,
Could anyone help me with this unit entry in a wehrpass of a artillery man. M.E. 6. / A. R. 76 - I can't figure out what the abbreviations M.E. are for.

Also a Battle Calendar entry from infantryman - "during fighting west of Minsk ( for support for S.R. 40 )" could the abbreviation S.R. 40 be for Sturm Regiment or Schutzen Regiment, unable to find any info on Lexikon der Wehrmacht website, or feld Grau. website. Thanks in advance for any information
