SS Dog tag

Hello Gents!

I would like some input on this dog tag! Original or not? Can one make out any guess about what unit? Its from a Freiwilligen SS unit. Its gound dug and for me hard to tell if OK or not. I know they are heavily and easily faked.

I dont like this tag at all.
SS tags do not have Frw markings stating status of the tag owner (like Hiwi or Freiwillige). Frw appears on SS tags in unit names. However - 111 SS Korps nachrichten abt wasn't a volunteer unit.

do you mean to say frw. never emerges in connection with the personal number?

yes - if it comes to SS tags - contrary to WH tags where this practice is pretty common.

Interesting, i have never heeded this detail. A buddy of mine has a nordland disc. We think as yet it could be original. The disc is marked with personal number in connection with frw..

I would pass on both tags. The "Nordland" tag is a very bad fake!
