    WP Lapplandschild and EK2 7.8.45 !!!

    Hi,

    here I have a Wehrpass from a man who got the Lapplandschild on 15.7.45. And he got the EK 2 on 7.8.1945 !!!!! Are those dates known in WP's ???

    Informations are welcome !!!

              Hello,

              Nothing wrong with those citations.
              You see them often specially from units that where in Norway in May 1945.
              The German administration kept on working after the official end of the war.

                I know this is an old thread but i didn't catch it first time.


                The EKII is for mine clearing duties. He was in Geb.Pi.Btl.99 of the 7 Geb.Div. which is correct as mine clearers were organised under pionier units.
                Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
