Hi Marcus,

That appears to be a driving license for class 3 vehicles (trucks) to a Leutnant with Luftwaffen Bau Bataillon.
This type of unit was a construction unit....

class 3 type vehicles are not trucks (would be type 2) but normal cars.. -Personenkraftwagen...

Is that correct? I have a document somewhere that states 1 = motorcycle, 2 = cars and 3 = trucks!

nope- its 1=motorcycle, 2=trucks, 3=cars- it was the same with civil german driving license until 2001 and is with military driving license still

H'mm, I new it was the same ..will see if I can find it....I might have made a mistake as class 3 is HGV or trucks here!!
