    Soldbuch Luftwaffe/Fallschirmjäger

Soldbuch (with uniform photo) of Gunter Pudert.
Soldbuch was handed out on the 16th of December 1944.
Pudert was stationed at the Flieger Ersatz Battalion XVII.
After his training he was transferred on the 1. of January
1945 to the 2./Fallschirmjager Ersatz und Ausbildungs Regiment 3,
a further para trooper training unit.
Probably this unit was involved in fightings in France.
In the soldbuch is a stamp: US ARMY PWIB FRANCE.
Very nice stamps in the soldbuch that he was "Kriegsbrauchbar"
(fit for duty in combat) and stamp of the Hauptuntersuchungsstelle Fallschimarmee.
He received the para trooper scarf, para trooper Kleidersack, Fliegerbluse,
para trousers and the para trooper knive.

So that's the information I have, tell me if I'm wrong.

    Hello

Nice soldbuch. I have one of the same Regt., but of the 12. Komp (MG) and opened earlier (July 44). This regiment was created in spring 44, in France (Verdun, at east of France). He was then commanded by RK Major R. Kratzert. In october, he fought in Nancy area and after, some units (all ?) went to Holland and fought there (Hertogenbosch - Heidhoven). At end of 44 and beginning of 45, the regiment was rebuilt in Germany and gave at the same time, most of reinforcements to 3. Fj. Division fighting in Ardennes and in Eifel.

His last unit entry is Fsch.Genes.Btl. 4 Brandenburg (Parachute Convalescence Battalion 4). So that suggests that he must have been wounded or became ill, nichts Wahr?
