Anyone seen a Wehrpass like this before

It is to a guy of the 8th sea rescue squadron who was killed over the black sea in November 1941. Must have been a cold death indeed.

yes- i saw one of those- it belonged to one of the first commanders of the bundeswehr army aviation school who was- in ww1 an oberleutnant with the luftwaffe (dont know exactly what was his job) after the war he joined the bundeswehr naval aviation (marineflieger) and in the end the army aviation (heeresflieger). the wehrpass was displayed at the small museum at the army aviation school in Bückeburg..
