Soldbuch FG-42 entry ?

Hi,

On page 8 of one of my Luftwaffe para Soldbuch I have got this entry "F.Gewehr". Is it for Fallsch. Gewehr (the FG-42)?

Possible, but weapons were usually entered by their model designation, i.e. K98, P.08, etc.

I agree with Gene that its possible. The only book I have with the FG42 entry is this one from Alfred Ludwig where it is entered as
"FG-42"

Thank you for both of your responses. Most of the time, entries of arms are also giving the serial numbers of weapons or even the model of binoculars... in this case there are not much details. The rank of the para was Feldwebel. Eric, thank you for your scan which is pointing out a mention I already found in one of my Soldbuch 'Fliegendes personal mit Schirm"

I believe it is "Springendes personal mit Schein" ( the Fallschirmschuetzenschein )

The difference here guys, is Erics is a wehrpass showing what weapons the guy has trained with, and Jean-Yves has a soldbuch where the weapon is issued.
I would agree with the statement that when a weapon was issued you usually find the number entered.

I did'nt showned all the page, but this mention is at the middle of the page. As I wrote they didn't have the time to write more than this or even the space. Remember, it is not a Soldbuch from the Heer and they don't have a special page for the firearms, gasmask, binocular, usw. It is true the mention is for an issued F*** weapon ! Sorry,
