Luftwaffe Wehrpass

Hi All,

I have been interested in purchasing a wehrpass and found one on Weitze's site. Could I please have opinions on it as I am new to this line of collecting.

Further to this, I would be interested to know what makes a good wehrpass from your perspective.

Description: Wehrpaß Luftwaffe für einen Mann des Jahrgangs 1916 , ausgestellt am 6.11.1936, mit Uniformfoto, eingestellt am 1.11.1934 bei der Stab II./I.R.14, weitere Einheiten : z.B. I./Kampfgruppe 153, I./Kampfgeschwader 255, 3.Flughafenbetriebskomp.I./Kampfgeschwader 255, 26.FWK mot, etc.; Auszeichnungen : Dienstauszeichnung IV.Klasse, Sudetenmedaille, KVK II.Klasse m.Schw.; befördert bis zum Oberfeldwebel, hat an sehr vielen Einsätzen teilgenommen. Gebrauchter Zustand. Anbei noch ein Verpflichtungsschein, ein Heiratserlaubnisschein und ein Prüfungsergebnis zur Kfz-Prüfung.

Translation: Soldier's small book Air Force for a man of the class 1916, issued to 6.11.1936, with uniform photo, adjusted to 1.11.1934 with the staff II./I.R.14, further units: e.g. i./combat team 153, i./combat squadron 255, 3.Flughafenbetriebskomp.I./Kampfgeschwader 255, 26.FWK mot, etc.; Honors: Service honor iv-class, Sudetenmedaille, KVK ii-class m.Schw.; carried up to the technical sergeant, in very many employments participated. Used condition. Enclosed still another undertaking, a marriage permit and an examination result for Kfz examination.

It's an honest Wehrpaß to what looks like a mechanic with numerous bomber groups.....nicely well filled in!

That depends on how much money you have to spend?!?!?!

A good Wehrpaß really should have all his units listed, awards, combat entries...I like to see his training filled in also! The more awards the better!!!!

Some have elements of the above not filled in which without seeing them before hand can be a problem when they arrive!

What is your main interest, Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine or SS?

Hi Ian,

I am not reallt fussy, but I prefer Kriegsmarine followed by Heer as my main two. I would be willing to pay a fair sum of money, wanting a well filled out Wehrpass!
