Hello JYN,
as far as i know "Augenschützer" (eyeshield) refers to the plastic goggles issued to protect against dust (in clear plastic), or strong sunlight (coloured plastic)and were the type issued in either a tan or dark green thick paper envelope.
Normal protective goggles with glass lenses generally are referred to as either "Schutzbrillen" or "Windschutzbrillen".
Perscription spectacles were known as "Dienstbrille", spectacles for wear with the gasmask were "Masken-brille".
Hope this helps,
Patrick.
