    four year long service medal

    Hi Guys
    I would like to know if you have already seen the entrance of this medal in a soldbuch.
    Personally I have no memory to have seen it (however soldbuch of soldiers of more than 4 years of service I saw from it, I have besides a soldbuch of a guy of 6 ° Armee who made all war and it is mentioned not at all by this decoration).
    Have you information or explanation.

    Hello Olivier,

    This was a peacetime award recognising long service.....you will see the entry in both Soldbuch and Wehrpa******223;, however, I forget the date now, but war service did not count for this award as they ceased to award it after 1939 or 1940.

    Anyone prior to this date with the appropriate years would be awarded this medal.

    In some cases, prewar awards were not mentioned in Soldbuch but could be found in the Wehrpa******223;.

    I will check the internet now for the correct date...........
