Hello all, can someone please help with details of fieldpost number 08309 late 42, early 43.

Hi Ian,

the number 08309 is "Feldkommandantur 588 V", later "Feldkommandantur 588 V" + "Feldgendamerie Trupp 564". Number was canceled 16.12.1944.

Hi Ian,

all what i can say is that this two units operated together under the 18. Armee in the south of France (thru 1944), specialy Clermont Ferrand.

18. Armee Frankreich; 1.7.1940 Militärbefehlshaber Frankreich, Verwaltungsbezirk B in Angers;
15.12.1942 Heeresgebiet Südfrankreich in Clermont-Ferrand für Dept. Puy de Dome.
