    Types of Heer soldbuch,s

    Hi Gentlemen,
    Im not a big soldbuch collector and ive had more to do with Wehrpass.
    Ive noticed that page 22 in some Heer soldbuchs arent set aside specifically for awards and are a continuation of page 20 and 21.

    Are these the earlier model/type of soldbuch?

    Theres only really two types that were printed by Metten & Co. Berlin SW 61. The one from 1939 shows a continuation of page 20-21, if I remember correctly the version with the award page first appeared in 1942, also this has a different clothing issue page on pages 6-7 and has the weopons page 8abcd incorporated into the book.

    There were other companies that printed Soldbuecher which may have slight variations, however the vast majority found are Metton & Co.

    Also you sometimes find variations in the fonts used and Eagles heads facing in opposite directions on the cover!
