    U-boat Wehrpass Arrived!

This arrived in record time from Germany, and the seller is checking for more items from his Grandmother from the same seller. I hope he finds a picture of the crew or boat more than the U-boat badge citation - I'd really like to see what this vessel looked like.

    Anyway, on to the Wehrpass!

This is unbelievable to me - this poor devil spent years underwater - over 869 days at sea, not counting his final voyage -

Willi Folger was on all nine patrols that U-86 made - a true plankowner.

Interesting, but the date of Willi Folgers death on this boat, which should coincide with it's sinking, is a month later. While communications may have ceased in November, the boat apparently continued on patrol for several more weeks.

I'm hoping to get his Uboat badge citation - but will see! If any of you can help with his unit and training pages, I'd appreciate it. s/f Robert

Great grouping! I'm glad somebody got it who appreciates it. I know how it feels, keeping the fingers crossed that there's more...

You know the deal, Hank! I'm happy with it as is, but I sure love to see a picture of his actual boat. s/f Robert

                              Nice group!!!

Herr Folger would appear to have lost his life aboard U-86 http://www.ubootwaffe.net/ops/boat.cgi?boat=86
However he served on another boat prior to this as his U-Boat Badge was awarded 28.8.1940!!
