Yes, it is. I was contacted by the individual who purchased the cufftitle grouping from the Collector's Guild and he asked if I would be interested in purchasing the Soldbuch and Führerschein, as he was going to be selling them off. I got very lucky!

Thanks for the signatures. Yes, the sig on the Führerschein is the commander of III./SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt.26, RK and EL holder Gerhard Bremer while he was still a Hauptsturmführer

A great book, yes, but the peak of SB collecting? Well... I think that would be a bit of a strecth

I wasn't particularly comparing it to anything in my collection.....

It is a nice SS Soldbuch to one of the most collected SS Divisions, no doubt will warrant a high price......

but as far as SS Soldb******252;cher go, it is to a low rank, he has no awards and on that basis how can it be "as good as you can get as far as soldbuch collecting goes"????

OK, I guess I meant it is a good as you can get without taking out a second mortgage to pay for a better one

to an average collector like me, this HJ Division, Normandy casualty book would be the peak.

I like having Soldb******252;cher chock full of awards as much as the next guy, but what really captured my interest with this one is the fact that it's a Hitlerjugend Panzer Grenadier KIA in some of the fiercest fighting seen up to that point in the Normandy invasion (Caen). The documentation in Hurbert Meyer's book allowed me to identify the day, time and location of his death (which is quite hard to do with any KIA Soldbuch/Wehrpass) and the fact that he was a halftrack driver and that the lot included his F******252;hrerschein and Verpflichtungserkl******228;rung made it even more desirable – well, to me, anyway.

In today's market it's very, very hard to find an original and complete SS Soldbuch to a Normandy casualty. Sure, it would have been great to see a EKII or PAB in bronze award entry, but the documentation behind his unit and his death make this little gem one of the centerpieces of my SS Soldb******252;cher collection
