Happy new year to all the forum collectors, here's one for Ian or anyone else that can help. I have a very highly decorated soldiers wehrpass (wound badge in gold, ek1, ccc etc)in my collection purchased some 2 years ago which I havn't looked at for a long time. In two pages of the pass (the arms training page and the awards page at the back of the pass) there has been heavy deletion of information with a big black marker but no other defacing of the pass anywhere else. I have wehrpass' in my collection where incorrect entries have been deleted but this is normally with a line or cross through them and not with a marker so I assume this is post war deletion. My questions are - is there a way of removing the black marker to see what was entered without damaging the wehrpass or is there a way of reading the entries eg with back light etc) Also any ideas why someone would delete an arms entry as all the others (up to 7.5cm pak) were left, the award entry could be like anti partisan so I can understand why that would be beleted. Any help would be appreciated - if scans are required please forward your email address and I will send tommorow. Regards Paul
