It looks so, but a little rare that the unit was the Division and not the regiment as normal, can you show us the unit page and the other awards listed?

    Angel
Looking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.

Normally the awarding unit will be the regiment, but who knows at this late stage of the war.

The award of the EK II prior to the Nahkampfspange is normal, but not the rule.

According to "Die geschichte der 22. Infanterie-Division" G.R. 65 was involved in heavy fighting on 06.05.45 in the "Winemountains" near Krizevci and before that around 15.04.45 north of Brod near Sibin. Quess that's were he earned his award, if he was with GR 65.

But what about the, as I read it, I.V.D. Kp Flak?

Yep, well I need to go to school again to update my German.

So we have a Lt. in representation of the CO. I can't make out his name, does anybody has any idea??

Would be nice to find the Kp this person was in.

                      Hello,
According to the bottom of page 23 (section 24)he was awarded the EKII in 1941 as well as the Infanterie Sturmabzeichen. Also his Verwundetabzeichen (schwarz) is plainly noted as happening when he was with 11./J.R. 311 (although stamp reads J.E.B.311) because the next day (probably after release from the Lazarette) he is listed in a genesenden (convolescent) unit. There must be an entry between 26.11.40 and 20.4.42 describing his hospitalization, However, he did not receive the award until 13.6.42. Which I suppose is typical turn around time. He also received the Westwall and Ostfront medal. He was able to return to active duty, so the wound must not have been very severe.

Very nice well filled soldbuch, certainly a Lucky Landser!
                      Regards,
                      Tony

You are right, he was able to return to active duty, the wound was not very severe. I think he earned the Nahkampf spange with the 22. Inf. Div. around Krizevci , Croatia I believe.

I think it's a very nice werhpass of a man who fought in Russia, Crete, Greece, Croatia and near Steiermark.
In Greece he fought against partisans.

                        Thanks to all.

                          Regards Henry
