SS - "Der Fuhrer" Dog Tag.

I'm new to the WAF and I've been reading thru' lots of threads on the different sections and I'm well astounded by the amount of knowledge on the forum.

Anyhow I thought I'd see what you ID experts can make of this SS dog tag I have had for about the last 10/12 years or so - might be longer? I've kinda been out of the collecting scene for a good few years now (too expensive and too many fakes...and I just lost interest) but recently I've dug a lot of my stuff out of the various boxes and drawers etc and started to take a bit of interest again.

So whaddya reckon - is it the real deal or a dodgy fake? One pic taken with flash and one without just in case it happens to show any differences. The tag seems to be an alloy one - it's non magnetic anyhow and looks like alloy? There are no markings on the back - well non that I can see but there is the remains of a sticky label on it which I have never taken off giving the description as a 'Der Fuhrer' dog tag by a previous owner

By that I take it you mean the actual disc itself is not real? I don't have any dog tags other than this one and I know absolutely nothing about them I must confess.

I've had it a good few years and have no idea if it's fake or not but it would be nice to find out one way or another - I guess it ain't looking good but I rather 'know' it was a fake than 'thinking' it was genuine...if you see what I mean.
