I bought this Wehrpass on E-stand and have been researching it. He was kiiled just after D-Day on the Somme River. During the D-Day Landings he was with 4/H.K.A.A 1255 which were 4 big Gun Emplacements that were totally destroyed by the Allies. (1/H.K.A.A to 4/H.K.K.A etc)
I have managed to locate a picture of his Gun Emplacement.
The back up area of the battery between the rivers of Seine and Dives was under the command of the Heeres-Küsten-Abteilung 1255 which had installed four other batteries there: on the left side there was a battery (1./HKAA 1255) with six 15,5-cm guns in the area of Criquebeuf-Villerville, on the right side there were four 10,5-cm guns (4./HKAA 1255). The third battery (2./HKAA 1255) was installed on the top of the Mont Canisy above the spa of Deauville. The fourth battery (3./HKAA 1255) protected the village of Houlgate.
