I only have a few of these and they are glued either to the front cover or inserted in the rear Soldbuch pocket.

I would imagine that every soldier would have one after a course of instruction, however they must have been lost over time as I do not often see them!

Thanks Ian, but if we look closely to the top part of the Nachweis we will see Fuer Infanterie Ers. Abt. - mine doesn't have such so does it mean there were different types?

Yes, but that is only for the first example...if you look closely you will see it is overstamped Krandsch******252;tz.-A-Btl. 6 - Krandsch******252;tzen Ausbildungs Bataillon 6...he was a motocyclist in a recce unit.

There are numerous types of Ausbildungsnachweis.....Luftwaffe had their own style also.....I have others for completion of driving courses etc.

I do not have one specific to Gebirgsj******228;ger, or not that I recall at the moment ..............

              Ian,
Here's the Luftwaffe example used with LVBl 43 P.1210 #2260 requiring it because the full files were taking so long to reach the units and this provided a handy way to know where to place the person, based on his training. This followed a general rule from the OKW, which unfortunately is refered to but not listed.

                  Ian-

Beautiful examples, especially your DKiG SB/Ausbildungsnachweis

I have only one Ausbildungsnachweis which is also a late-war example, issued to a Panzer-Grenadier in late 1944 with some very nice entries

This is a portion of the grouping, which came directly from the family (I added the PAB, BWB and eagle)

This is an example of a late war Ausbildungsnachweis (June 1944), from a Waffen-SS young vollunteer.
It is no doubt that not many are left, because we can read on top that these doc should be destroyed. Also seen on Rob his Ausweis.

Your example follows the one shown in the SS Verordnungsblatt 44.
