2 SS I.D. Discs.

These are 2 SS I.D. discs which I own, I have had both for more years than I care to tremember. I am thinking of parting with them and would like to ask some opinions as what is a fair price to ask these days. All constructive help is most welcome.

#1 LAH example, the pics have a grren tint to them which is not present in reality.

Thank you for your reply however, I actually thought they would go for a little more than the amount you quoted, being 2 very well know SS divisions.

Here in Norway a SS dogtag in very good condition belonged to a Norwegian SS soldier sell easy for Euro. 600,-.

Well, these tags are neither in very good condition, rare or belonged to Norwegian volunteers. These are nice ersatz tags nothing more than that.

Are Ss Dogtags To Low Priced ?????

I want to start a discussion about original SS dogtags and their values ?
Personal I meen they are way to low priced.
Mister Dogtag priced a original L.A.H and a 5./SS Pz.Gr.A.u.E.Btl.12 dogtag to around Euro. 75 - 120,- each.
Thinking of all the copies of SS dogtags on the marked and some of them very good. It is not so very often any more we find original SS dogtags so I wonder then, how can a original L.A.H. dogtog not cost more than ca. Euro. 100,-. I meen somthing is wrong
When we look at all these SS metal cloth and metal insignia on the market and their extremely high prices, why should a nice and original SS dogtag only cost Euro 100,-
Thinking of all the SS soldiers that got killed in action and got burried with their half dogtag, these are selden collectibles

In Norway the price for a original SS dogtag belonged to a norwegian SS soldier - in very good condition, they sell for Euro. 600,- and easy !!!
This is dogtags from named veterans from these units: " Frew.Legion.Norwegen" " Schi. Jäger Batallion " " Nordland " " Westland " " Germania " etc.
If I sell one of my named dogtags belonged to a norwegian SS soldier from one of these units, it will sell at once.
This dogtag I bougth for some days agos for Euro. 675,-.

So whay are SS dogtags not higher priced

Well, if LAH and HJ Division dogtags are not considered 'rare', why have I never encountered similar examples for the price quoted and in fact cannot remember seeing a similar HJ example ever?

LAH and HJ dogtags cannot be considered common, they are 2 premier Waffen-SS divisions whose items are collected in extremis.

I welcome some serious debate on this subject.

Hy Dear Friend,
I'm trying to be as serious as can be. Both of your tags are coming from Ersatz units and can't really be considered as coming from 1st and 12th SS-Pz.Div. In fact these tags could belong to soldier serving almost any of SS divisions. The tags would be much more scarce if issued in combat unit ( especially in case of HJ, while LAH infantry divisional tags I consider common). I belive owning several hundred of SS tags allow me to say this.
Well of course I will not explain why you haven't ever seen other LAH or 12 Pz.Gren.A.u.E.Btl tags. However please find quite few of these on the enclosed pictures.
