I think it is
Iron Cross 2nd Class
War merit Cross with Swords
Wuttenberg Merit Medal
Eastern Front medal

Is that the first line? Silb. Mil. Verd. Med. 4.8.1917 Looks like that would be a "Silver Military Merit Medal" -- is that the same medal?

yes-well, it often was. The 'auch in kreige" above may have kept it out.
