    Known places.

I have take a look into my collection and found this little coincidence, this poor Leutnant was killed in the same place where thousands of French soldiers under Napoleon command suffered the same fate. Anyone has also some known places entries where soldiers were killed or wounded?

In the first part is Oberarm, upper arm, and in the next rectangle Russland, Russia. Interesting, he was wounded a day after my officer was killed, with which unit he was serving?

                  Angel,

There are many places called Borodino in Russia...the Borodino battlefield of 1812 fame was not reached by the Germans until October 1941.

IR 448, part of 137. ID, had just crossed the Beresina at Orsha 20th July 1941.

                  Cheers,
                  Gary.

I don't think that two villages could be share the same name, but Russia is so vast. Do you have any idea in which Borodino fought and dead my officer? Also I have a doubt always has assault me, when in a map you see hohe 219 this is just in this map and in this cuadricula? Now we do it in this way, we must give the code of the map and the cuadricula to call for artillery or air support.
