    H.u D. Soldbuch

Hi, I got a couple of questions about this soldbuch belonging to a oberfeldwebel of the 2 batl./134 regt. On page 14 In das Lazarett mitgegeben: some hand writing and stamps on this but is unreadable some of it says PP K or Fr. 973476 Kal. 7.65, any ideas what this page is for? On page 12, 4/8/42 he was wounded and I am assuming on page 13 the date directly across 5/4/43 is his discharge date?Where was this unit during this time and did he miss out on the stalingrad battle? Also on same page he was wounded on 23/9/43 and sent to 2 SS Korps- Sanitats Abt.(mot) , Under the word Krankheit there is the nr. 25 listed, what wound is this? On the page that lists what he was issued, a pistol, bayonet, spade, gas mask and 2 items written in that are totally unreadable. the last item was issued in 26/7/43. Any ideas or what was this man's job was? He served in this infantry unit from 40-45. Also included was a folded newspaper clipping(7/10/53) about veterans from Osnabruck. His home town. I had an exchange student from Halle, Germany read this info and she said the handwriting was to poor to read much of it. I have had her translate other items I have and she is very interested to actually see WW2 personnal items. She just hasn't had contact with this stuff, just tought about Nazi crimes. She was very touched by the prayer cards I have, seeing the faces of guys her own age and the families' loss.

Without scans, it's hard to tell exactly what the entries are. Page 14 could have many things written on it. Sounds like he had his own pistole-PPK serial #973476 in cal. 7.65 or 32 auto. Hospital entries read across with left side being when admitted and right side when discharged or transfered. If the discahrge date is close to the admit date on the next line, it is most likely from the same problem or wound. Number 25 means skin problems, not a wound.
