Soldbuch KM

By consulting my Soldbuch KM, I noticed that three Soldbuch presented an important difference with the other Soldbuch KM of my collection.

The eagle appearing on the coverage of these three documents turns its head to the right side while the eagles representing on the other Soldbuch KM of my collection look towards the left.

Has somebody an idea ?

Just a thought, who printed them? i have one with eagle head facing left printed by 'Metien & co, Berlin'

Hi Polux,

I have noticed this before but can not remember if I still have an example now!
"Metten & Co. Berlin SW 61" printed most of the Soldbücher it would appear (also Wehrpaß!), even many that are unmarked. However I do have some other makers/printers which differ on font type, color and paper.......
If I remember correctly an example I had about 6 years ago matched in every way to that of "Metten & Co." except the eagle was facing the right like yours!

Also if you notice the wreath around the swastika is more detailed and the wings are shorter!!

I will take a look and see what I can find....

I can only remember two examples of KM, 4 Heer, 3 SS and about 10 Luftwaffe variations.........

Here is an increase of the eagle (head to the right). The crown of sheets of oak and the paws of the eagle stand out more than on the traditional model. Considering the more reduced size, the feathers intermediaries of the wings are among 11 (12 on the standard model)

Here is an increase of the eagle (head to the left) representing on most of the Soldbuch KM. To note the number of feathers intermediaries of the wings 12. The crown of sheets of oak presents less contrast, darker.

Lines

If you look at the structure of the paper you see that the left one has vertical lines and the right has horizontal lines. I once read that there were fake wehrpasses with horizontal lines. Can this be the case here?

No, these are definately not fake, just a variation but how common?......obviously not too common as I have seen so few!
Maybe it was a batch that was done in error with the eagle facing the wrong way?!?!?!?
I have not had the chance to look through my KM books but will try and do so this weekend to see how many
(if any!) I have....
A good friend of mine has one for sale with this eagle facing the wrong way but I can not remember anything more about the book itself.
