    Calendar??

    Hi everybody
Have you ever seen this? Is it a calendar, it is on the first page of an HG soldbuch
    thank you

Personally I have not seen a calender like this, however I have seen extra pieces of paper stuck in the front for ranks, training records, missing in action, killed in action etc.

Is there actually anything written on the back?

Yes..I can see he was discharged 8.5.1945, had no weapons or equipment and was paid up until May for his discharge.

I see he served with the Ersatz Regiment "Hermann Göring" on 21.4.1944....what other HG units did he serve with?
Prior to this date was he with Flak?

        Regards, Ian

                Hello Herlé,

Nice to see some front line units in a HG Soldbuch...there are many around with only replacement or training units only!

Did this person get any awards?

Also do you know his fate?

                Regards, Ian

There does not seem to be any mention of tropical equipment there, however net shirt and mosquito net do indicate warmer climates!!!
Interesting he was issued a camo jacket "Tarnjacke".
